Dear All:
When I install vasp.5.3.5, it stick at the step : mpif90 -heap-arrays -FR -assume byterecl -O3 -c subdftd3.f90.
can anybody tell me why?

What does the compiler print out? I'm guessing that if you reduce the optimization level to O2 in the MAkefile it may work. I encountered this issue and the D3 vdW files are the ones that complain about O3.
