Dear all,
we noticed that -DIFC and -DnoAugXCmeta no longer appear in makefile.include.linux_intel. What is the reason for this and how does it affect the compilation?

The parameters were introduced when developing the SCAN functional.
After the code was modified the parameters are no longer necessary.
Nothing wrong will happen, however, when one keeps using them.
