ERROR: the following files does not exist POSCAR

#1 Post by vasp » Sat May 26, 2007 7:36 pm

I finally got VASP to compile with no errors. However, I do not have a POSCAR at all.

Here are the files I do have:

CHGCAR, CONTCAR, DOSCAR, EIGENVAL, OSZICAR, OUTCAR, PCDAT, WAVECAR, and XDATCAR

Again, I compiled everything using makefile.linux_ifc_P4 and my version of Linux is Ubuntu 7.04. Please help me. Thanks!

you have to generate the input files to run vasp by yourself..
Please read the manual.....

guess, you have learned much of VASP by now. all those you have reported are output file. to run vasp successfull, you must have a INCAR,POSCAR,POTCAR and KPOINTS.
happy VASPing
