Useless warning, possible patch in future?

#1 Post by daniel_marchand » Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:22 am

Hi Everyone,

I run VASP maintenance for a cluster that covers most VASP users in Norway. Some of them are complaining about this error:
"WARNING in EDDRMM: call to ZHEGV failed"

Apparently this was flagged as a useless warning and was supposed to be removed in future versions of VASP

This is a gentle reminder that would be nice to have this line commented out. As of version 6.4.2 I see its still there. martin.schlipf seemed to have a patch read for this maybe it just needs to be applied to the production release?

kind regards,

Daniel

Dear daniel_marchand,

Thank you for the reminder. I already contacted Martin Schlipf and we are going to deal with this issue until the next release.

All the best Jonathan
