dear vasp users,
Can any one tell me if its possible to visualize the charg density (CHGCAR file )with Matlab!
thanks for your help

Visiluazation of charge density with Matlab

Sorry, I don't know Matlab.

I use VMD:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/

This software is free. The latest version comes with the VASP
plugins automatically included. It can read most of VASP's 3D
output files, including CHGCAR.
If you load a POSCAR file and CHGCAR file into the same
VMD structure, you even can show the periodicity of the CHGCAR
data.

I find that VMD suits all my needs to view the VASP input POSCAR
and all its output files.

Rob.

Many thanks to Sung Sakong for writing these plugins, and making them available to the vasp community. Combined with the strengths of VMD (for example multiple representations), this is a good tool for visualizing crystal structures and charge densities.
